Working on my portraits
Still working on portraits.
I spent an hour or so taking in the Autumn colours and trying to get some good portrait shots of my mate. Black and white and portraiture
There are a lot of inspiring black and white photographs about. From the street photography of Vivian Maier to this beautiful and sharp underwater photograph by Toni Frissell.
Without colour, you can concentrate on the details and the texture. Expressions seem maginified, which is possibly why portraiture has retained a strong relationship with black and white from analogue to digital.
